Thurstone was a dwarf from the eastern continent. For reasons unknown, he fled across the sea to the Jeweled Cities. He found an early ally in Jonas Grumby. Jonas gradually positioned him into a position of authority amongst the miners in the city of Turquoise. When the Jeweled Cities Council formed, he took a position as an expert in mining and manufacturing. He maintained this position until he lost an election in the year 402. After that, he returned to the east, his whereabouts unknown.
