The House of Xiu came to power in the Salterri Imperium in the second century CC (common calendar). The first Qzare of their house (though not the first Qzare of the Imperium) was Xiu Kirai, son of Xiu Bai.[1]
The family continued to hold power in the Imperium until the early fifth century. The last Xiu to hold the title of Qzare was Tailong, legitimised son of Hanyeo, although he later renounced the Xiu name and adopted his mother's name, founding the Li dynasty.
Although Tailong died in 436, rumours persisted that his uncle Wandao, who had abdicated the throne in 407, outlived him and may have been living as late as the 450s.
